DIY Wool Tassels
What does one do when procrastinating packing on a rainy day at the coast? A little DIY and craft that's what! If you haven't heard, we have bought ourselves a unit by the beach at Sunshine Beach and we are super excited to be moving in soon and make it our own.
When we moved here our plan was to buy a house in Tewantin but after looking at quite a few houses anything half decent was out of our budget or if it was in our budget it needed SO much work and meant driving to the beach. We quickly realized the most important thing to us is location, being able to walk to the water or ride your bike a short distance was why we moved here. So when our unit popped up we were quick to jump on it (property goes quick here!). In a small block of 5 it's 400m beach to the beach, has a small private yard and open racked ceilings.
So my blog is soon to be over-run by DIY and house renovations, sorry about that. (not really haha). But I am excited to share our before and afters as we transform our little piece of paradise.
Ok so back to what I was actually blogging about! We are going to put in light, breezy white curtains downstairs and to dress them up I am going to add these fun woolen tassels. The tassels have so many uses - you can sew them into the corner of cushions, hang them on door handles, tie curtains up with them and so much more.
All you need is some wool, a plastic lid or piece of strong cardboard, scissors, a yarn needle and a ruler. Watch my video below for step by step instructions.
