It was a long weekend here in Melbourne this weekend. I finally got to the 200 years of Australian Fashion exhibition and did some sewing I have been wanting to do. The exhibition was really busy but great. It’s amazing to see how Australian fashion has changed and grown over the years. My favourite room of course was Flamingo Park with all the quirky knits by Jenny Kee and Jan Ayres.

And then the bum grazing mini dresses of the 60’s.

After getting out and about it was home for some sewing. I’ve had some fabric I bought in China that I have been wanting to cut up so it was time to make it up. I’m loving easy dresses at the moment so I made a baby doll style dress that I made up from an old pattern I had.

I also started work on my first video! (watch this space!). So it was a fun and productive weekend. What did you get up to? Hope you enjoyed it whatever you did! x
